21 Mar The basics on hot water systems
Hot water systems come in many different forms. The average home can use up to 25% of its total energy on heating water. With rising electricity and gas costs, it is important to ensure that you pick the best one for you and your family.
Tip: When picking out your HWS, look for one with a high star rating. The higher the stars, the more efficient the heater is with its energy source. Heaters rated over 7 stars can deliver more than 20% extra efficiency compared to 5 star models!
How does a hot water system work?
Cold water is fed into a hot water system where it is then heated up by a source of energy to make it hot. There are 3 main sources of this energy: Electricity, gas and solar.
